This website is hosted by STRATO AG, Pascalstraße 10, 10587 Berlin, Germany. The servers are located exclusively in Germany. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with STRATO.

STRATO processes the data arising when the website is accessed on our behalf and solely for the purpose of providing the website and ensuring its secure operation.

3. Server log files

Each time this website is accessed, data is automatically collected and stored in log files:

• page requested and volume of data transferred
• date and time of access
• notification of successful retrieval
• browser type and version, operating system used
• previously visited page (referrer)
• IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources and is not analysed to identify individuals. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the technically faultless and secure operation of the website. Log files are deleted automatically after a short period.

4. Encrypted transmission

This website is delivered exclusively over an encrypted connection (SSL/TLS). You can recognise this by the padlock symbol in your browser's address bar and by the address beginning with https://. Data you transmit to us therefore cannot be read by third parties.

If you write to us using the contact form, we process the details you enter:

• subject
• your message

These details are transmitted by email to our mailbox and stored there. No database is created and nothing is stored on the web server. The data is not passed on to third parties.

The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, which you give expressly before sending. You may withdraw this consent at any time without formality; the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal remains unaffected. If your enquiry concerns the initiation or performance of funding, Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR also applies.

We retain your enquiry until it has been dealt with conclusively and no statutory retention periods prevent deletion. You may request deletion at any time.

The form contains an additional field, invisible to visitors, which detects automated spam entries. Its contents are neither stored nor analysed.

If you contact us directly by email or telephone, we process your details in order to deal with your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR or, where funding is concerned, Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.

We deliberately do not accept application documents through this website. If you would like to apply for a scholarship, please contact us informally first; we will then tell you how to transmit your documents securely.

We will inform you separately about the processing of your application data within the application procedure.

8. No cookies, no analytics, no third-party services

This website sets no cookies and uses neither analytics nor tracking tools. No external fonts, maps, videos, social media buttons or other third-party content are loaded. Visiting this website therefore transfers no data to third parties and creates no profile of your behaviour.

For the same reason, this website requires no cookie notice.

This website contains links to external websites, for example to rainbowstories.online. Once you follow such a link, the privacy policy of the respective website applies. We have no influence over their content or data processing.
